Pasadena City College will receive a boost of about $6.7 million in funding to restore classes and other student services following the passage of Proposition 30, officials said Wednesday.
The school had been forced to cut about 570 classes this academic year due to budget cuts.
“It will take some time to learn the details of the state funding, but today it is safe to say that the passage of Proposition 30 will enable us to plan to add classes to the spring semester that begins on Jan. 7, 2013 and certainly to offer even more classes in the summer 2013 term,” assistant superintendent of business and college services Bob Miller said.
