The South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Committee is getting ready for the city's float to sail down Colorado Boulevard during the 124th Rose Parade in Pasadena on Jan. 1.
On Thursday the committee hosted a South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce gathering at the float-building site near the South Pasadena War Memorial, and on Saturday held the 15th annual Crunch Time dinner to raise funds for the float.
This year's entry is titled “Floating on the Sea of Knowledge” and features a galleon bounding over waves formed by the pages of an open book.
