A woman died Thursday afternoon after a fall from the Colorado Street Bridge, according to the Pasadena Fire Department.

Police and firefighters responded at just after 4 p.m. to a call from a man who said his wife had jumped from the bridge, said Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.

Firefighters located the woman's body under the bridge and she was pronounced dead at about 4:15 p.m., Derderian said.

Pasadena police were on scene to interview the man and investigate the incident.
