Pasadena police arrested two people in Pomona Friday night suspected of robbing a man and woman who were shopping in Pasadena earlier in the day.
Israel Sanchez, 32 and of Pasadena, approached a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s, both from Pasadena, around 4:15 p.m. on the 300 block of South Mentor Avenue, brandishing a BB gun and demanding personal items, said Pasadena police Lt. Diego Torres.
The man and woman handed over a camera, cell phone and purse to Sanchez, who fled in a getaway vehicle driven by 29-year-old Pomona resident Ruby Gallock, said Torres.
A witness recorded the vehicle's license plate number, which was registered in the city of Pomona. Police located the vehicle and arrested Sanchez and Gallock Friday night, said Torres.
Property belonging to the victims was found in the car, along with the BB gun. Sanchez is being held on a $150,000 bail; Gallock is being held without bail.
