A five-car wreck on the Foothill (210) Freeway near Lake Avenue in Pasadena sent three people to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The collision occurred at about 2:15 p.m. in westbound lanes near the center divider and slowed freeway traffic for more than an hour, said Pasadena Fire Dept. spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.
Paramedics treated four crash victims on the scene, transporting two victims with serious injuries and one with minor injuries to local hospitals. Firefighters had to cut away at one of the vehicle to extricate a crash victim, Derderian said.
