An armed man stole an unidentified amount of money from a gas station in Pasadena Thursday night, police said.

The man, who was described as a black male wearing dark clothing and a mask, entered the station on the 200 block of North Altadena Drive at around 9:50 p.m., said Pasadena police Lt. Diego Torres.

He pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash from the register, Torres said. The clerk complied and the man ran off with the money.

The suspect escaped on foot and was not seen getting into a vehicle. No other information was immediately available.
