Residents who want to get an update on proposals to extend the Long Beach (710) Freeway can attend a forum in Pasadena next Tuesday.
Pasadena City Councilman Steve Madison will host the event at the ballroom in the Pasadena Convention Center on Sept. 18. The diverse panel includes a geophysicist and a historic preservationists. Representatives from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority will also attend.
Attendees can submit questions for the panelists. The forum begins at 7 p.m. and runs until 8:45 p.m.
MTA officials already axed seven proposals to expand the 710 freeway last month, but a tunnel that would link the 710 and 210 freeways is still on the table to close the 710 "gap."
The center is located on 300 E. Green Street. Street parking is free; the Paseo Colorado parking garage is free for the first 90 minutes. Parking at the center is $5.
