A 35-year-old Alhambra man led South Pasadena police on a pursuit Friday night and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
A South Pasadena officer spotted Tim Morgan acting suspiciously in a 1999 gray Ford Explorer around 11:45 p.m. in the 300 block of Garfield Avenue, a problem area for vehicle burglaries, said South Pasadena police Sgt. Tony Abdalla.
Morgan drove away as the officer approached him and led police for 50 minutes through Pasadena and South Pasadena, stopping to pull over at Huntington Drive and Garfield Avenue in South Pasadena, said Abdalla.
Morgan stopped at most red lights and stop signs, he added.
He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and invading police. Abdalla said police are still running tests to find out if he had both drugs and alcohol in his system at the time of the incident.
