Unfortunately, St. Monica Academy Coach Darren Bradley doesn’t keep statistics.
Nonetheless, that didn’t stop him from putting into perspective just how dominant senior outside hitter Caitlin Hall was Saturday afternoon.
“She had one of the best games I’ve ever seen played,” said Bradley, whose Hall-led Crusaders swept through host Lake Arrowhead Christian, 25-18, 25-16, 25-21, at Rim of the World High in the CIF Southern Section Division 5-A quarterfinals and moved on to the semifinals for the second straight season and third time in program history.
The Crusaders, who dominated en route to an undefeated run to an International League title, will play Tuesday and host Riverside Christian.
Bradley estimated that Hall had, “at least 30” kills.
“She was outstanding today,” said Bradley, who said Hall was blocked just once.
Going forward, St. Monica, which hasn’t lost a game in two playoff matches, is looking to get to its first-ever title match.
“We haven’t got it all together yet,” Bradley said. “I still think we have room for improvement.”
