Caltech 15, Citrus College 12: Jack Blackwood scored a match-high seven goals to lead the Beavers to a nonconference win at home on Wednesday.
The Beavers (3-6), who got three goals from Jim Blackwood and 10 saves from Ben Grabowski, outscored the Owls by three in the final period to break open a tight game.

South Pasadena 12, Burbank 7: Adrian Suarez finished with a team-high five goals Wednesday to lead the visiting Tigers (7-3) in a nonleague match.
Bell Gardens 21, San Marino 20: Eric Thvedt scored nine goals and teammate Derek Yeh chipped in four in a losing cause for the Titans (5-5) in nonleague action on the road Wednesday.

La Salle 257, St. Paul 310: Freshman Brianna Steger was impressive in shooting a match-best 38 and leading the Lancers to a Del Rey League victory Wednesday afternoon at par-35 Whittier Narrows Golf Course.
La Salle’s Megan Reid (49), Cheri Raymundo (52) and Mallory Susank (57) also chipped in for the Lancers (3-5, 2-1), who next play Monday at Alondra Golf Course versus Bishop Montgomery.
The win was the second this week for the Lancers, who topped host Flintridge Sacred Heart, 243-253, in nonleague play Monday afternoon at par-35 Eaton Canyon Golf Course.
Steger shot a day-best 44, while second-place Reid carded a 47. Lancers junior Carolina Knop shot a 50 for fifth place.
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
San Marino 3, Gabrielino 0: Felita Lin finished with 27 digs Wednesday to lead the host Titans to a 25-10, 25-13, 26-24 nonleague victory. Mabel Cootauco collected nine kills for San Marino (7-3).

Chapman 2, Caltech 0: The host Beavers fell in a SCIAC match Wednesday afternoon to drop to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in conference.
Caltech tied a season high by recording nine shots. Four shots were on target which is a new high this season for the Beavers. Goalie Wesley Swank finished with six saves for Caltech.
