South Pasadena 4, Temple City 0: Four Tigers scored a goal in South Pasadena's Rio Hondo League home victory Friday afternoon.

Field players Charles Slocum, Heven Gomez and Danny Zurita scored a goal each while goalie Chris Mejia, who finished with his eighth shutout this season, added a penalty-kick goal and midfielder Zach Dunn added an assist for the Tigers (12-1-1, 6-0-1).

Blair 5, San Marino 1: The visiting Vikings picked up a Rio Hondo League victory Friday afternoon to improve to 5-4-4 overall and 3-2-1 in league.

With the defeat, San Marino dropped to 4-11-1, 1-5.

Pasadena 8, Hoover 4: The Bulldogs scored a season high in goals in picking up a Pacific League road victory Friday afternoon.

With the triumph, Pasadena improved to 11-4-1 overall and 5-3-1 in league.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Muir 40, Crescenta Valley 29: Thanks to some balanced scoring, the Mustangs picked up a Pacific League road victory Friday afternoon.

Chy'annea Hodges paced the Mustangs (8-9, 3-6) with 13 points, while Hope Peron added 12 points and Tierra Adams chipped in nine points.

Flintridge Prep 47, Mayfield Senior 46: A 10-point, six-assist effort from freshman forward Megan Villar was not enough for the Cubs in a Prep League road defeat Friday afternoon.

Junior Remy Traglio added nine points, seven rebounds and two steals and freshman Victoria Gutierrez contributed nine points, seven rebounds and three blocks for the Cubs (7-8, 4-5).

South Pasadena 66, Temple City 40: For the seventh time over their last eight games, the Tigers were victorious in a Rio Hondo League home game Friday afternoon.

With the win, South Pasadena improved to 17-4 overall and 5-1 in league.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

San Marino 64, Blair 46: The Titans improved to 12-11, 4-2 in the Rio Hondo League with a road win over the Vikings Friday.

The Titans were balanced offensively with Brian Low and Kevin Wang sharing team-high honors with 14 points each. Jasper Hwang added 12 in limited action, while Garrett Verdugo and Matthew De La Cruz chipped in 11 and nine points, respectively.

Blair fell to 2-4 in league in the loss.

Serra 68, La Salle 45: Milan Acquaah led the Lancers with 13 points and three assists and Vance Jackson contributed 10 points and five rebounds in a Del Rey League road defeat Friday.
