San Marino 3, Monrovia 1: Alex Schuster, Mandy Hsu and Alana Hillman all scored goals for the Titans in a Rio Hondo League victory Wednesday afternoon.
San Marino improved to 9-3-2, 3-0-2 and remained tied for first place in league with South Pasadena.
Marshall Fundamental 1, Campbell Hall 0: Cassandra Bermudez scored on a goal assisted by Quetzali Del Villar in the 35th minute that capped all the scoring in the Eagles’ Delphic League home victory Wednesday afternoon.
Goalie Ariel Martinez finished with nine saves for the Eagles (11-4-3, 4-1).
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Maranatha 42, St. Mary’s Academy 36: The host Minutemen rallied from a 19-12 halftime deficit to pick up a nonleague home win Wednesday afternoon.
Victoria Chang led the Minutemen (8-14) with 13 points and five rebounds, while Fola Adesina chipped in 10 points and rebounds.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
San Marino 55, Monrovia 53: Senior guard Jasper Hwang scored 26 points to lead the Titans to a Rio Hondo League road victory Wednesday evening.
Garette Verdugo scored 13 points, Brian Low added 10 points and Kevin Wang chipped in five points for the Titans (11-11, 3-2).
La Salle 60, Bishop Amat 44: Vance Jackson led the way again for the Lancers in a critical Del Rey League road victory Wednesday evening. Jackson had 25 points, 11 rebounds and three steals.
Milan Acquaah added 18 points and Connor Williams tallied nine points for La Salle (11-7, 1-2).
MEN’S BASKETBALL
East Los Angeles College 68, Pasadena City College 64: Despite a frantic rally, the Lancers fell at home in South Coast Conference play Wednesday afternoon.
Jeffrey Dockett led PCC (6-12, 2-3) with 16 points and seven assists, while Mike Swanegan added 14 points, Gary Matthews chipped in 11 points and Lorelle Martin added 10 points.
Chapman 72, Caltech 65: Michael Edwards scored a team-best 18 points, KC Emezie added 16 points and Bryan Joel contributed 12 points for the Beavers in a SCIAC road defeat Wednesday evening.
With the loss, Caltech dropped to 1-17, 0-9.
