WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Pasadena City College 83, Compton College 29: Center Kaitlyn Parks turned in a strong effort with 17 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks and three steals to lead the Lancers to a South Coast Conference home victory Wednesday afternoon.
Former Glendale standout Stella Ghazarian added 15 points and Desiree Loving chipped in 12 points for the Lancers (17-6, 7-4).
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
Pasadena Poly 22, Flintridge Prep 1: The Panthers completed an undefeated run in league with a road victory Wednesday afternoon in Prep League action.
Christina McCarthy and Lindsey Kelleher led the Panthers (21-1, 12-0) with five goals each, while Allison Woo added four scores and Allie Hodgen, Alex Clark and Olivia Treister all added two goals. Poly goalie Natalia Sanchez-Nigolian finished with five saves.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Bishop Amat 4, La Salle 1: Senior Briley Venti scored the final goal of the season for the Lancers on a penalty kick in a Del Rey League season-ending defeat at home Wednesday afternoon.
La Salle did not qualify to the postseason and finished with a 7-12-2 overall record and 1-5 mark in league.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
El Camino College 71, Pasadena City College 70: A last-second three-pointer from visiting El Camino sank the Lancers in a South Coast Conference home game Wednesday evening.
Chris Smith paced Pasadena (7-15, 3-6) with 15 points, while Mike Swanegan added 12 points and Marquise Tolson contributed 10 points.
Redlands 89, Caltech 52: Bryan Joel came off the bench to lead the Beavers with 14 points, but Caltech needed more in a SCIAC road defeat Wednesday evening.
The trio of KC Emezie, Michael Edwards and Andrew Hogue (10 rebounds) all scored 12 points for the Beavers (1-21, 0-13).
