Padre Pio 49, St. Monica Academy 46: Sophomore guard Marcus Cortez led the Crusaders with 10 points and 10 rebounds in a nonleague loss Thursday afternoon.
Senior wingman Peter Zwart added 10 points and six rebounds and junior Gilbert Inman chipped in eight points and six rebounds for St. Monica Academy (6-10).
La Verne Calvary Baptist 60, Southwestern Academy 28: The visiting Sun fell in an International League road game Thursday afternoon.
With the loss, Southwestern Academy dropped to 7-3 overall and 6-2 in league, which is good for third place.
